BHU UET 2019 Counselling – Important Dates

BHU UET Counselling 2019
Candidates will be able to check the detailed schedule of counselling of BHU UET2019 for all UG courses here once the university announces the final notifications regarding counselling.
BHU UET Counselling 2019 – Overview
Candidates can refer to the important points related to BHU UET 2019 counselling listed below.
- BHU will conduct counselling of BHU UET 2019 on the basis of the above schedule and BHU UET merit list.
- Candidates shortlisted for counselling will be sent electronic call letters in their registered accounts. They will also be intimated about the issue of call letters through email and SMS.
- Candidates will be able to download the call letters by logging into their registered accounts with BHU. The university will not mail call letters to the candidates in offline mode.
- Only those candidates who satisfy BHU UET eligibility criteria for the UG courses including B.A, B.Sc., B.Com. And qualify in BHU UET 2019 will be shortlisted for BHU UET counselling 2019.
- Candidates are required to carry the following documents to the allotted venue on the day of counselling. Faculty head or in charge of BHU UET 2019 will be scrutinizing and verifying documents submitted on the counselling day.
BHU UET 2019 Counselling – Documents Required & Counselling Procedure
Following is a list of documents which candidates will require at the time of counselling of BHU UET 2019
- Admit Card of BHU UET 2019
- Certificate of 10th class or equivalent
- Mark sheet of 10th class exam
- Certificate of 12th class or equivalent
- Mark sheet of 10 + 2 class qualifying exam
- Transfer/ Migration certificate (should be carried in case of the university except BHU)
- Sports category certificate for candidates from sports quota.
- Certificate issued by Central Registry for sons/ daughters of permanent employees/ reemployed/ retired/ deceased employees of Banaras Hindu University.
BHU UET Counselling 2019 – Procedure
Candidates are advised to thoroughly go through the listed below procedure for BHU UET counselling.
Step 1 – Online Preference Entry
- The university will issue electronic call letters to candidates shortlisted for BHU UET 2019 counselling. Candidates will be intimated about the issue of call letters through an SMS and an email.
- To access their call letters, candidates will have to login to ‘candidate segment’ on the entrance test portal.
- Upon logging in, candidates will have to fill in the following online preference entries -
- Honours subject with subject combination for B.Sc. (Hons.)
- Honours subject without any subject combination for B.A. (hons.)
- Course Choice – Applicable when admissions are done for more than one course on the basis of the rank secured in common test for certain UG courses.
- Desired Affiliated colleges, or faculty, or department, or RGSC college. Applies only when a course is offered by more than one location.
- Type of seat allotment, that is, if candidates want only regular fee seats or if they wish to take admissions into paid seats once the regular fee seats are full.)
- Candidates are strictly advised to leave no option blank. If any option is left blank, the computer will assume that the candidate does not list it in his/ her preferences.
Step 2 – Seat Allotment on Counselling Day
- After candidates are done with filling and submitting their online preference entries, the university will release the schedule for counselling of BHU UET 2019 online.
- Candidates will be called to attend the counselling session rank wise.
- The merit list of BHU UET 2019 will play a major role in the seat allotment process.
- Upon reporting to the counselling venue on the specified date, candidates will have to sign an attendance sheet.
- Candidates are advised to consult the incharge/faculty head regarding course details, location, fee, and hostel availability. At this moment, candidates will get a chance to change their preferences. They will be able to do so by informing the admission officer or incharge at the venue of counselling.
- After finalizing all the preferences, candidates can submit them with necessary original documents at the verification desk in the counselling venue.
- Upon submission, the computer will start allotting seats solely on the basis of the candidate’s merit in the entrance test, preferences, and seat availability.
Additional Note – Candidates who take provisional admissions in the university will be able to collect their admission letter from admission in-charge next day at the counselling venue by 10: 00 a.m. Candidates can have a look at the details which will be mentioned in the provisional admission letter.
BHU UET Counselling 2019 – Provisional Admission Letter
Following details will be mentioned in the provisional admission letter:
- Course of admission
- Counselling date
- Regular fee (admission fee)/ paid seat fee (regular fee + paid seat fee)
- Mode of paying the admission fee
- Last date of payment of admission fee.
BHU UET 2019 Counselling – Fee Payment
Candidates can use the following modes of payment to remit the admission fee. Candidates must ensure that they pay their fees well before the last date, else their admissions will be cancelled.
- Online mode – Candidates can use the online payment gateway on the BHU website for paying fees through credit/ debit card.
- Offline mode – Candidates can also pay their fees in cash at counters in the counselling venue.
Step 3 – Final Admission
- Candidates paying through offline mode will have to furnish an evidence of fee payment to the admission officer at the counselling venue. However, candidates who remit the admission fees in online mode will not have to furnish any such proof.
- Failing to pay the fees will cancel candidates’ admissions to the programme.
- There are chances of candidates’ upward mobility as per their preferences. If a seat in a course or location, or seat type of higher preference gets vacated, candidates will get the chance to claim it. The final allotment will be done only after the last day of fee payment for the last date of counselling.
